I am a Norwegian artist, photographer and cultural practitioner with a Master's degree in Fine Art. My work explores the relationship between perception, visual culture and aesthetic experience, with a particular interest in photography and the ways images shape how we understand the world around us.
Through both artistic practice and academic research, I have investigated themes such as analogue photography, visual communication, contemporary aesthetics and the role of art in everyday life. My master's research focused on analogue photography in a contemporary context, examining how slower and more reflective image making practices can offer alternative ways of seeing in an increasingly digital and image saturated culture.
Alongside my artistic work, I have experience in cultural programming, youth engagement, teaching and community-based cultural projects. I am particularly interested in how art, culture and education can create meaningful encounters between people, ideas and places. This interest extends to public lectures, exhibitions, cultural development projects and forms of art mediation that make complex ideas accessible to wider audiences.
My practice is informed by curiosity, observation and a belief that art can help us look more closely at the world. Whether working through photography, writing, research or cultural projects, I am interested in creating opportunities for reflection, dialogue and new perspectives.
